Syngenta Group recently announced an investment of R$65 million in a new product technology and engineering center in Paulinia, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The center aims to accelerate innovation, reduce the time needed to research, develop, and launch new products, and create solutions suitable for tropical agriculture. This will help serve the Brazilian and Latin American markets more effectively and assist local growers in addressing challenges posed by climate change.
The center, spanning about 2,500 square meters, is situated within Syngenta Group's largest formulation and packaging factory globally. It will house six state-of-the-art labs dedicated to formulations, analytical chemistry, biological agents, process engineering, packaging, and applied technology. Sustainable design principles will be incorporated, including natural ventilation, natural lighting, and solar power generation. Syngenta Group operates similar centers in the U.S., the UK, Switzerland, India, Singapore, and China.
