Elkem enters strategic partnership with Startuplab
Elkem entered a strategic partnership with incubator Startuplab?in Oslo, Norway, on?Oct.?17. The two sides will accelerate the development of green?and frontier?technologies and digital solutions?in the field of silicon materials.
This partnership aims to boost Elkem's?operating efficiency and performance by integrating digital tools. In addition, VR training for hazardous situations and fire detection will be offered to improve safety?in production and operations.
Elkem is involved in over 30 collaborative projects throughout Europe with startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, academic institutions, and clusters.?These projects cover CO??emission reduction, circular economy, new materials and digitalization. New products introduced within the past five years represent more than 15?percent of Elkem’s turnover.
Taking?this partnership as an opportunity, Elkem will continue to tap into the innovative potential of startups, solidify its leading position?in the industry, and promote?high-quality development.
